Book Club
My name is Parker Jones and my passion is books. I read books of all kinds all the time and I wanted to share my passion with younger kids. For my project I have been going to Ms. Confer’s third grade class at Tuscaloosa Magnet Elementary School, and reading to her students, one at a time. When I work with the student, I first read the book I chose to them. I then discuss the book with them and ask comprehension questions that relate to the book. After, we discuss the book I have them read it to me and I help them with any words they struggle with. With my passion project I hope to help the students develop a love of reading and strengthen their comprehension skills and reading ability.
